Thái Bình (Bình) Trần is an exercise physiologist and doctoral candidate at Concord Repatriation General Hospital and the University of Wollongong, Australia. A Vietnamese-Australian, they have called Sydney home since 2012. Their work focuses on integrating exercise into clinical care for people with chronic kidney disease who are not undergoing kidney replacement therapy. Thái Bình and their team use a variety of methods to determine indicators for exercise and explore feasible delivery strategies, including functional capacity screening and digital health technology. They are a member of GREX, an international network of clinician-researchers with similar interests and goals. Thái Bình has the opportunity to work with notable GREX members such as Associate Professors Ria Arnold and Kelly Lambert, and Doctor Brett Tarca. The enthusiasm and passion of these colleagues inspire much of their research. Thái Bình aims to contribute to the growing knowledge of exercise therapy in kidney care and advocate for the role of exercise professionals in clinical settings.
